Moneual's MiNEW A10 nettop gets preciously attacked by Hello Kitty

You remember Moneual, right? You know -- the guys and gals playing a torrented movie on their demo unit at a trade show. Now that we're on the same page, have a look at the show-stopper above. That's the Hello Kitty-embellished MiNEW A10, or in other words, the most outrageous nettop to ever see the light of day. The wildest part is that existing A10 owners can even make their relatively sane looking machine morph into cuteness overload for the tidy sum of ₩150,000 ($123). Or you can just get a whole new rig that no one else has to know about for ₩540,000 ($443) -- totally your call there. One more frightening look is after the break.

World's first Hello Kitty themed maternity hospital opens up in Taiwan

Hau Sheng Hospital in Yuanlin in central Taiwan is Hello Kitty themed, who would've thought we'd see such a day. It is maternity hospital that has the blankets, birth certificates, cots and even uniforms of the staff designed with the Hello Kitty theme in mind. At the entrance there is a Hello Kitty Statue dressed as a doctor, how utterly cute. There is also a Hello Kitty elevator to take you to your destination. The pink examination room has posters of the adorable feline all over the walls. Tsai Tsung-chi, director of the hospital gained permission from Sanrio to open up this unique and world's first Hello Kitty themed medical establishment.

The director said, "I wish that everyone who comes here, mothers who suffer while giving birth and children who suffer from an illness, can get medical care while seeing these kitties and bring a smile to their faces, helping forget about discomfort and recover faster." Chen Shing-chiu, 38, is one of the first mothers to give birth to a baby here. If I ever plan on having a baby, this is where I'll be heading.

This year's first lot of Beaujolais Nouveau has arrived at Narita and other airports in Japan. We usually don't expect a wine bottle to be plastic. Glass is the norm. In fact many people might turn up their noses at the notion of wine being presented in a plastic bottle. However, Aeon Co. said it will offer this year's unique Beaujolais Nouveau in 750ml plastic bottles. I like this page.  They do writeups on cutesy gadgets, new beauty products, and it seems like everyday they have some new Hello Kitty gadget.  So when I discovered the Hello Kitty debit card, I wrote them and suggested that they write it up for their page - and guess what!  They didn't want to write it up.

I feel like a five year old - walking into Sanrio for the first time.

I just saw that I can get a Bank of America HELLO KITTY debit card.  I called, got it all set up - for free - and my new FREE Hello Kitty debit card should be in my mailbox in 5-8 business days.  I'm so excited.  I love Hello Kitty! 

I missed the Hello Kitty phase when I was growing up.  I missed the excitement of walking into Sanrio and getting all giddy over the new Hello Kitty plush backpack.  I don't know why i wasn't into it as a kid, I remember seeing the Sanrio store in the mall.  It just took 20 years for me to catch up and I'm going through the phase right now.  I am totally geeking out over anything Hello Kitty.  When we went to Disney World, Epcot had the best Hello Kitty store i'd ever seen.  My good friend went to China and she brought me back a Hello Kitty watch.  Bill keeps trying to buy me Hello Kitty jewelry.  I can't justify a $5,000 Hello Kitty ring (not yet) but if I had the extra cash, I'd wear that every day!

So today, I was signing off the Bank of America website and I saw an advertisement for their "My Expressions" checking account.  And i was looking at the options for personalized debit cards (mostly looking to see if they had an OU debit card for Bill) and I came across a Hello Kitty debit card!  I was on the phone with BofA and in less than 5 minutes, my Hello Check card was ordered and on it's way.

This is the best week ever!  totally the silver lining on everything else.

Maybe i'm geneticly programmed to LOVE hello Kitty.  I am asian after all.  Don't lie - You know this is the cutest thing ever - as far as plastic money goes.
