These were taken Labor Day Weekend, Virginia Beach. We go every year. At least we have since we moved to the Northern Virginia DC area. So this would be our 6th year to go. Bill runs in the Rock N Roll Half Marathon and then we spend some time at the beach. They have a nice aquarium and the beach/boardwalk is great.
This year was Parker's first time at the beach. I don't think he enjoyed it as much as I know he will in the future. He liked having the wind blow in his face but he didn't like the handful of sand that he shoved in his little mouth. The water was a bit cold and he didn't like the waves. He'll get there. It took Stewart a year or two. I must say, I think this year was my favorite year so far. We had such a great time.
I took this picture a few days before the actual weekend. It was a cold day and it was rainy so I put him in his cute sweater outfit.
Us at the aquarium, standing next to the waterspout simulator.
Stewart playing Dirty Jobs in the construction zone!
My boys on the beach - Bill, Parker, and buckethead!
After the race. Bill can still manage to pick up BOTH boys after running 13.1 miles in 1 hour 28 minutes. Amazing!
I love this picture. I remember looking up and seeing Bill and Stewart helping Parker take his very first steps down to the surf.
